A bachelors degree in Public Relations unlocks an entire world of dynamic employment and organizational opportunities in a vibrant and exciting, ever changing field. Graduates can go on to a variety of careers in the media field, that include: advertising, business, corporate communications, web-based communications, public relations, journalism, broadcasting and electronic media.
Students follow a course of study recommended by the Public Relations Society of America and provides the student with a strong foundational understanding of the principles related to communication including: writing, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
Those who study public relations learn the skills needed to manage information between an organization and the public. Students will develop strong skills in areas such as persuasive writing and public relation strategies and tactics.
