"To change the world" is the number one goal of SIFE. Active on more than 1,600 university campuses in 40 countries, SIFE students use what they learn in the classroom to make a difference in their communities.
The concept is simple--working as teams, SIFE students design educational outreach projects that help people develop a better understanding of the principles of free enterprise and how to use this information to empower themselves and achieve their dreams. Their work impacts everyone from grade school students to small business owners to farmers in developing countries.
The best way to prepare for the real world is by facing real world challenges today. The teams will be challenged to recruit new members, develop and implement educational outreach projects, fund their programs, use mass media to publicize their efforts, and then present their accomplishments at the SIFE Regional Competition. Regional champion teams advance to the SIFE USA National Exposition in Kansas City.
Through this hands-on learning process, students develop teamwork, leadership and communication skills beyond those of most college students. The best companies recognize the value of this experience. Every year thousands of SIFE students begin their careers with SIFE donor companies, including Walmart, KPMG, Unilever, Campbell's, HSBC, Pepsico, Johnson & Johnson, and hundreds of others.
