Accounting is the profession that provides financial information by recording business transactions and analyzing their financial effects. This information is used by management of the organization as well as investors, creditors, and government. Accountants may audit, advise management, provide tax services as public accountants, do general or cost accounting, budgeting or internal auditing for business and non-profit organizations or work for the government as private accountants. A number of accounting firms actively recruit from our accounting graduates.  The accounting program is registered with the New York State Education Department and qualifies the graduate to sit for the CPA examination.
