Dr. Mena received his B.S. degree from New York University, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Cornell University.  Appointed in 1974, Dr. Mena subsequently retired in December 1999.  However, he continues to teach courses in Business Organization.  His research interests include the identification of core competencies in performance management systems.  He is also engaged in exploring the mechanisms of employee empowerment programs.
