Dr. MacDonald received his Ph.D. in Finance from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, his MBA from Clarkson University and his BA from the University of Vermont at Burlington.   Appointed in 2007, he teaches courses in risk management, insurance and finance.  His latest research publication is "An Examination of Underperformance and Liquidity in the German Neuer Markt Initial Public Offerings of High Growth Stocks" (2004) and his latest conference paper is "Seasonality in Various U.S. Stock Indexes" (Fall 2006).  Dr. MacDonald also has other working papers in the risk management and insurance field.
