Dr. Dong received her BS degree from the Shanghai Teachers' University, her MEng. degree from Shanghai Institute of Mechanical Engineering and her Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Appointed in 1994, Dr. Dong's teaching interests are Production and Operations Management, Supply Chain Management and Management Science.  Her research interests include Supply Chain Networks, Knowledge Management, Supernetworks, Computational Finance and Transportation Modeling.
