Human Resource Management Center

The School of Business at SUNY Oswego houses the HRM Center. Accredited by the Association for the Advancement of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) since 2002, the School of Business offers a range of undergraduate programs, several interdisciplinary programs, and MBA programs to approximately 1,300 students.

HRM Center mission
To bring students, faculty and business professionals together by supporting student education, community outreach, research, continuing professional education, social responsibility, diversity initiatives and consulting to further the field of Human Resource Management.

In the News

Each year, the HRM Center supports student membership in the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and helps support travel to regional competitions. Our student teams are competitive and report that the learning and networking opportunities afforded by such activities are invaluable.

The Center also helps support educational events and speakers.  For example, Lilly Ledbetter, an activist for equal pay for women, visited campus in 2013 to discuss her own fight for fair pay by standing up for her rights at Goodyear Tire Company, and how women and men can advocate for equal rights in the workplace. Lilly's story inspired President Barack Obama, which prompted him to sign the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, which allows victims of unequal pay to challenge the discrimination within 180 days of any paycheck.
