Columbus Day Open House
The Open House will include: Admissions presentations, a chance to talk with faculty, student-guided campus tours, select tours of academic facilities and an opportunity to meet with representatives from Career Services, International Education (study abroad) and Experience-Based Education (internships). The first SNU and SUNY Oswego academic research forum has been a great success. Co-sponsored by SNU School of Finance and Business and SUNY Oswego School of Business, the annual forum awarded one first prize with cash award 2000 RMB (abou $350), two second prizes with cash award 1500 RMB (about $250), three third prizes with cash award 1000 RMB (about $150) and 12 Awards of Excellence with cash award 500 RMB (about $75). A total of 15 student research presentations covered a variety of topics from bit coin, insurance, housing endowment, international accounting standard, culture differences between China and US, e-commerce, online shopping, sustainable air travel, etc.
All of our SUNY Oswego students had a wonderful time. SUNY Oswego finance student Eyub Yegen received the first prize award and MBA student Jason Macleod received the third prize; the other 6 Oswego students (Ryan Dadey, Dianora DeMarco, Sonny Goldbaum, Ryan Hopf, Tucker Sholtes and Gongjie Zhang) each received an award of excellence. Students from SNU and Utah received one second place and one third place respectively.
