Campus Center at sunset

SUNY Oswego offers several facilities and programs that provide unique learning experiences and opportunities for students.

Thanks to renovations and innovative programs, some buildings on the Oswego campus have become learning laboratories. The Campus Center Complex, consisting of new construction and exhaustive learner-centered renovations, has become a new social and academic hub for the campus.

Continuous improvement of academic facilities include upcoming construction of a 262,000-square-foot science facility that will reconstruct Piez Hall with a large addition. The environmentally friendly structure will enhance Oswego's continued strength in the sciences and facilities such as the Molecular Biology and Biochemistry Center and Environmental Research Center.

Special residential features include Johnson Hall, which serves as the home sweet home for the First-Year Residential Experience, and Hart Hall, which hosts the Global Living and Learning Center focusing on social responsibility, community service and international awareness. Riggs Hall, the most recently renovated residence hall, hosts a number of special learning communities.

The college's Penfield Library offers books, periodicals, documents and vast electronic resources as well as a cozy, cosmopolitan café. Students can showcase their creativity during exhibitions at Tyler Art Gallery. Those interested in nature or biology can appreciate hands-on learning and research among the diverse habitats of Rice Creek Field Station.

SUNY Oswego also recently launched a presence in downtown Syracuse with the new Metro Center, which provides access to Oswego’s MBA program, graduate courses in education and the liberal arts, customized and contract training and small-business consulting.
