The Center for Communication and Information Technology (CCIT)

The Center for Communication and Information Technology (CCIT) is an interdisciplinary studio founded to teach integrated media and emerging communications technology. It serves SUNY Oswego faculty, students and staff, and seeks providing similar service to the educational and business communities of the upstate region. Current activities of CCIT focus on a hands-on approach to student learning in a setting that provides state of the art technology with quality instruction.

CCIT is currently located in Room 35 and 36, Lanigan Hall. CCIT has facilities for meetings and presentations for groups of up to 25, and is connected to the campus and the outside world by the latest technology. CCIT serves as an umbrella structure, allowing each of the constituents to maintain their separate and unique identities.

An advisory committee composed of representatives from the performing arts, broadcasting, graphic design, human computer interaction, information science, cinema studies, and journalism coordinates CCIT. It also includes representatives from the Office of the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.
