    The next meeting of The Workforce Development Board of Oswego County will be held at 8:00 a.m. on December 9, 2009 in the One-Stop Center, 200 North Second Street, Fulton, NY.

  • December 10 - YP Voice Annual Holiday Social
    5:00 - 7:00 pm, at Canales Restaurant in Oswego. This is going to be a year-end recap of everything we have accomplished in 2009. We will also be announcing our newly elected YP Voice Executive Board Officers.

  • December 10 - Eichorn to speak on climate change
    SUNY Oswego will host Central New York meteorologist Dave Eichorn who will present: “Climate Change in Our Own Backyard: What Does It Mean for Oswego?”Part of SUNY Oswego’s sustainability programming, this lecture at 7 p.m. in the Campus Center auditorium is the next installment in the Sheldon Roundtable series sponsored by the college's Office of Business and Community Relations, in partnership with the AMOS Project. The presentation is free and open to the public; reservations are requested.

    The Youth Council of the Workforce Development Board of Oswego County will convene at 8:00 a.m. (103 Rich Hall)

    The Business Development Committee of the Workforce Development Board of Oswego County will convene at 8:00 a.m. (103 Rich Hall)

  • Wednesday Evenings January 6th to February 24th - SUNY Oswego to partner with YMCA on Sustainability
    This winter the SUNY Oswego Office of Business and Community Relations will partner with the Oswego YMCA to implement a second Citizens Academy on Sustainability for the greater Oswego Community.

    A Citizens Academy is an interactive, educational program that informs citizens about the constituent elements of a healthy and sustainable community. Weekly topics will include ecological principles, sustainable food, sustainable buying, water & energy efficiency, and sustainable communities.

    Meetings will occur at the YMCA Wednesday evenings starting January 6th and running until February 24th from 5:30-7:00 pm. The program will follow a discussion group format. Pre-registration is required through the Office of Business and Community Relations.

    Those who complete the program will receive a certificate of participation, and information on how to become engaged with local sustainability activities.
