Careers in Brokerage and Investment Firms


Many economics, and a few applied mathematical economics, majors choose careers in brokerage and investment firms. Typically, individuals in these positions provide investment advice to individuals and households. This advice depends on the income, stage of life cycle and goals of the investors.

Brokerage and investment firms are primarily interested in individuals that possess strong analytical and communication skills.
