Activity

Presentation

10 minute presentations, with a
20 minute discussion/participation activity

You are asked to complete this assignment with one other person, because I want you to develop relationships with other students in this class. They are your colleagues, and I want you to develop a relationship with your peers. I will pick the groups for this collaborative project. You need to schedule time on line or in person with your partner.

Ask for a handout on Practical Strategies to increase active learning..., by Dr. Suzanne Weber.

Consider preparing for your presentation early in the semester.  It is very difficult to make changes in the presentation schedule.

Your 30 minute presentation, which includes 10 minutes of presentation and 20 minutes of an assessment activity should be based on two different references. You may use a journal article, a document, a textbook, or some other reference approved by the instructor. You must use PowerPoint or some other presentation software. You are documenting your knowledge of some aspect of assessment, assessing your audiences attainment of the knowledge just taught, and demonstrating you presentation/instructional skills. At the end of the presentation, you should hand to me, in APA format, the two references used, and the names of the presenters. Your personal experience with the subject is always important to share. How should we assess this presentation?
