Journal Article Abstracts:

• Read and abstract two (2) articles
• The articles should come from at least two different professional journals
• One of the articles should come from the following topics: performance-based (authentic) assessment, evaluation of students with special needs, gender-equitable evaluation and ethnic/cultural considerations in evaluation. 
• The article must be related to assessment.
• One of the abstracts must be a Methodology--(A research article--quantitative or qualitative is fine.)
• Abstracts are to be typed (single-spaced), follow APA style for the reference, and may not exceed one page, but should fill the page.
• Use APA style for citations.
• The following sub-headings should appear in sequential order: Reference, Purpose, Overview (for a discussant article) or Methodology (for a research article), Conclusion, Student's Reaction.
• A legible photocopy of the article must accompany each abstract. (An electronic version is preferred.)
• Credit will be lost for spelling and grammar errors.
• This abstract should be work original to you.
• Your articles must be recent

 

 

Evaluation Criteria:  3 = exceptional development

                             2 = good development

                             1 = satisfactory development

                             0 = unsatisfactory development
