Welcome to the North East regional Sigma Xi conference information web site
The NE undergraduate and graduate student Sigma Xi poster conference will take place on Saturday, April 18th, 2009, at SUNY-Oswego, Oswego, NY, on the beautiful shores of Lake Ontario.
We are looking for a new location for 2010. Please get involved, participate actively in 2009, and make sure that 2010 conference happens on your campus!
There is a $20 fee to cover all conference costs, including the cost for breakfast and lunch. All attendees must register. Members and non-members are welcome. Please register and submit your abstract using the link below. Faculty mentors are welcome to come with their students. Please check this web site for updated information and additional links.
Schedule:
-arrival, set up, and breakfast snacks, Sheldon Hall Lower Lobby, 9:15 to 10:15 AM;
-poster session, judging, and networking, Sheldon Hall Ballroom, 10:15 AM to 11:15 PM (Session 1) and 11:25 AM to 12:25 PM (Session 2);
-lunch and networking, 12:30 to 1:30 PM;
-lecture by an outstanding NY scientist, TBA, 1:30 to 2:30, and poster awards, 2:30 to 3:00 PM;
-Sigma Xi members and officers, discussion of the NE regional Sigma Xi, 3:00 PM;
Registration: (limit-70 posters; deadline- 3/18/2009)
